Training Opportunity:

Growing School District Partnerships

Are you passionate about making the schools in your community healthy, sustainable places to learn and teach?

USGBC Arizona, with the Center for Green Schools, invites you to a free full-day training that will help you work effectively with school district leadership in your area. Not only will the training get you up to speed on the most current resources to help school staff implement green operations and maintenance practices, but you’ll also learn vital group facilitation techniques that will grow your ability to be an effective team leader in any situation.

To participate in the training, you are asked to make contact with a school district in your area and locate a district staff person who will work with you to strategize how the district can begin or improve sustainability efforts across all schools. This individual can join you for the final part of the training to begin to plan a way forward. As part of USGBC’s invitation to school districts to join in this effort, participating districts are eligible for complimentary registration of a pilot LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance project (if registered before December 31, 2012).

Contact Halleh Landon for registration access code.
