The host committee will recruit and enlist regional non-profit and university partners sharing Greenbuild’s sustainability and social justice mission to help plan, promote and coordinate Greenbuild 09 (GB09). The bioregional partnerships subcommittee will develop an implementation plan with actions and timelines designed to meet objectives and will document their efforts to guide GB10 planning efforts.

USGBC will recognize partner organizations on the GB09 web site, in the conference program and select marketing materials, and during the conference. USGBC will coordinate regional media relations efforts with the Arizona Chapter to ensure maximum exposure for GB09 and to support local efforts to promote the USGBC, social justice and green building. USGBC will make available senior staff and national volunteer leaders to help bioregional partners promote GB09 and local USGBC activities.

Objectives per MOU:
• Identify bioregional partners that can most effectively help plan, promote and coordinate GB09 activities
• Help USGBC increase regional attendance by promoting GB09 to/through West region chapters

Objectives per Host Committee:
• Engage WRC chapters in supporting, promoting and participating in GB09
• Identify for GB09 host committee bioregional partners and marketing agreements
• Assist PR/Media and Sponsorship subcommittees in their efforts to promote GB09 regionally and identifying funder leads for local initiatives
• Document efforts and create a report for the GB09 host committee manual comprising the subcommittee’s plan, best practices and lessons learned
