The Arizona Host Committee will organize the green building tours at Greenbuild 09 (GB09). All direct costs (transportation, booklet and signage) for on-site execution will be approved and paid for by USGBC. The Tours subcommittee will develop an implementation plan for Tours with actions and timelines designed to meet their objectives and will document their efforts for future GB10 planning efforts.

Objective Per MOU  & Host Committee:
• Develop green building/green technology tour site selection criteria and solicit nominations
• Determine finalists and recommend to host committee those that best showcase Arizona, including at least one in both the Flagstaff and Tucson areas
• Identify USGBC’s tour implementation and materials needs and assist them in securing same
• Coordinate with Volunteers committee for volunteer recruitment and training
• Document efforts and create a report for the GB09 host committee manual comprising the subcommittee’s plan, its best practices and lessons learned

3/6 Call for Entries published to green building community
3/16 Press release announcing Call for Entries
4/16 Noon Deadline for Tours submission to USGBCAZ
4/16-19 Entries judged by Tours subcommittee
4/20 Tour finalists recommended by USGBCAZ to USGBC
4/27 USGBC announces Tour finalists
6/15 Deadline for Tour descriptions, logos, artwork and content submission
10/5 Final Tour offerings based on GB09 attendee RSVPs
11/30 Deliver to host executive committee final subcommittee report
