Objective:
- Working with national Greenbuild staff in Welcome Event for Greenbuild 2009.
- Event to be Held on Tuesday Night November 10, 2009 at Chase Field.
- Event this year is using a new format, and will be a combination Keynote, Leadership Awards and invited big-name entertainment in Chase Field.
- Provide volunteers to staff and work the event.
- Working within the Main Street theme, the event will open up some portions of Chase Field to participants which could include ASU GIOS students and others TBD.
- Ensure that Arizona is highlighted to Greenbuild attendees.  These events should signify "all things Arizona" in theme, decor and entertainment.  At the end of the evening, attendees should feel welcomed by the Arizona community.
- Tickets will be sold on-line to both Greenbuild attendees and local guests.  There will be an early and late registration fee set by USGBC National.

Responsibilities:
- Assist event planners in local sources of organic food, merchants, and others as directed
- Work with USGBC National Sponsorship Manager to develop sponsorship opportunities for the event.
- Assist in creating event description for website and registration mailer to promote the event.
- Compile and present signage requests to National. 

Potential Community Partners:
Arizona Dept of Tourism, local Convention & Visitors Bureaus, City of Phoenix, Airport, Rickshaws, and other promotional and synergistic partners. 

Meetings:
Meetings are currently taking place at various locations from 8-9am first Fridays. See roster for more information on locations and participants.

Other:
Discussions are in process regarding a Friday Farewell Green Street Party in conjunction with local downtown First Friday participants, merchants and artists.
Discussions are in process regarding a 500 mile radius promotion of services and suppliers.
